Kimberly Wood
President & CEO
Kimberly grew up in Wisconsin and completed her undergraduate work at Penn State University, where she obtained a B.A. in Crime, Law, and Justice and a B.A. in Sociology. She completed her graduate work at California University of PA and has a M.S. in Legal Studies. Prior to working at Able-Services, Kim ran a licensed residential program for homeless and dependent youth in State College, PA. She has worked with Able-Services since it began in 2014 and loves the participants and staff she works with every day. She lives in York with her husband and two little girls.

Jenelle Boyer
Clinical Supervisor
Jenelle was born and raised in Lancaster County, PA and moved to York in 2021. She has over 14 years of experience working in programs providing supports for adults with intellectual disabilities. She has her Master’s Degree in Social Work from Millersville University. When not at work, she loves spending time with her husband and animals (2 dogs, 2 cats), going to the beach, spending time with her extended family and friends, traveling, and making crafts and decorations with her Cricut.

Martin B. Krebs
Program Specialist
Marty is a York, PA native and has lived here his entire life. He worked in advertising and marketing for 30+ years as a graphic designer, then began a second career in human services and never looked back. He has been married for 40 years, has three sons (one married) and two delightful granddaughters. Marty still does freelance work as a graphic design consultant and enjoys creating healthy gourmet meals in the kitchen. About Able-Services, he says: “I love working here because we aspire to live our mission statement every day – enriching the lives of individuals and their families. That might look different for each person in our program, but it is possible every single day.”
Mia Jimenez
Program Specialist
Mia started her career with Able-Services in 2015, and she continues to enjoy working for and growing with the company. A graduate of Grand Canyon University, she has her Bachelor's degree in Sociology, with an emphasis in Social Work. She loves reading, nail art, true crime podcasts, and crafting. Her primary passion is her family — she enjoys spending time with her two boys, husband, and furbaby.
Brice P.
Program Specialist
Brice lives in York with his husband, two rescue chihuahuas and a cat. Brice has a degree in Business Administration and came to Able-Services with over 6 years of prior experience working with individuals with IDD. He is excited to continue to grow and be a part of Able-Services' mission, gain more meaningful life experiences, and share his skills and knowledge with our participants. In his free time, Brice enjoys gardening, restoring furniture, and traveling.

Krista Dougherty
Activities Coordinator
Krista grew up in York County and graduated from Northeastern High School. Before coming to Able-Services, Krista was employed with Penn-Mar Human Services and worked in a residential program for over 2 years with individuals with special needs. Krista is passionate about working with this population and loves planning activities and helping them to learn to skills and have new experiences. When she isn't working, you will find Krista spending time with her husband and extended family.

Amber Bieder
Community Engagement Specialist
Amber is a dedicated professional who began her career as a DSP in October 2017. After many years of dedication and commitment, she became Able-Services' first Community Engagement Specialist. In this role, Amber utilizes her extensive knowledge and experience to foster relationships within the community, advocating for those she serves and promoting inclusivity and accessibility. Beyond her professional endeavors, Amber is married to her supportive husband, Gary, and together they are the proud parents of three wonderful children: Nicholas, Courtney, and Lucas. The family shares their home with a variety of beloved pets, including a dog, two cats, and a bearded dragon. Amber is also actively involved in her church and works to find ways to make a positive impact in all aspects of her life.

Olivia Young
Lead Direct Support Professional
Olivia grew up in York County and has a son and daughter. Prior to working at Able-Services, Olivia was Instructional Assistant for Central York School District in the Autistic Support Classroom and worked as an Assistant Site Director for TLC Montessori for 12 years. Olivia has completed her DSP Ill certification through NADSP. In November, 2023, she received her certification through IntellectAbility and has become a Person-Centered Thinking Coach. With this she will continue to work on replacing risk with health and wellness. In her spare time, Olivia enjoys reading and camping with her family. She enjoys working in this field and teaching participants, as well as learning from them. She says that there may be times where you have some challenges along the way, but with every challenge begins a new day, new adventure, new memories, and a lifetime of endless rewards.

Amanda Gambrell
Direct Support Professional
Amanda comes to Able-Services after working for many years in residential programs for individuals with special needs. She attended William Penn Senior High and has an Associates Degree in Business Management from Harrisburg Area Community College. Amanda has 3 full siblings, 3 half-siblings, and helps to care for her mother, who she is extremely close with. She lives with 2 dogs, 2 turtles, and a leopard gecko, all rescue animals. When she isn't working, Amanda likes to spend time with friends and family, paint rocks, fish, swim, or do anything involving the water. Amanda loves working in this field and recently survived a pretty severe accident and believes she was saved to make a difference.
Austin Lerch
Direct Support Professional II
Austin is a graduate of Dallastown Area High School and comes to Able-Services after time spent working at residential homes for adults with special needs. He lives in York with his wife and daughter. In his spare time, Austin enjoys gardening, going to the gym, watching movies and being outdoors. He also works as a Personal Trainer at the JCC and loves helping our participants stay active!
Bobbie Jo Daley
Direct Support Professional
Bobbie is a long-time resident of York County and completed her high school education at York Vo Tech. Prior to working at Able-Services, Bobbie worked for Lifetouch as a School Photographer. Bobbie has a son and a daughter and has experience navigating the MH/IDD system with her son. Bobbie joined the Able-Services team in 2015 and brings a great deal of knowledge and passion for the work we do.
Chrystal Wheat
Direct Support Professional II
Chrystal has joined Able-Services after a long career in horticulture and prior experience working with an individual with special needs. Her family includes her husband, 2 children, 2 cats, 2 horses, and 1 dog. When she isn't working she likes to ride horses and kayak. She is excited to get to know our participants and help them learn new skills.
Emily Hoffman
Direct Support Professional
Emily joins Able-Services after a career spent in a completely different field. As she enters this new life chapter, she is excited to learn and grow from her experiences with participants and help them to develop relationships within our community. When she isn't working, Emily enjoys outdoor activities, such as hiking, biking, fishing, boating, and traveling as well as creative hobbies like sewing, knitting, drawing, painting, and reading. Worship and spending time with friends and family is also important in her life.
Heather Kelley
Direct Support Professional
Heather is a lifelong resident of Pennsylvania who comes to Able-Services with a wealth of experience. She spent 15 years working with the fire department/EMS and 5 years as a special education paraprofessional. After being a stay-at-home mom with her two daughters, she is excited to get back into the field and help our participants learn life skills to gain independence. When she isn't working she enjoys spending time with her husband, daughters, and dog hiking and camping. She also enjoys cooking and all kinds of sports.
Ivy Szuch
Direct Support Professional
Ivy comes to Able-Services with a passion for helping others and currently volunteers with the equine therapy program at Leg Up Farm and volunteers with the SPCA. She lives in York County with her husband and 3 dogs and enjoys hiking and getting dirty!
Kathy Weyant
Direct Support Professional
Kathy obtained her Associates Degree in Liberal Arts from Valencia Community College and obtained her Associates of Science Degree from Penn State Berks. Prior to working at Able-Services, Kathy worked as a Personal Care Associate for Keystone Human Services where she provided residential care and support to individuals in a mental heath residential home. Kathy also worked for the York/Adams County Department of Aging. In addition, she worked as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant and Rehabilitation Aide for over 10 years. Kathy also volunteered with an individual for 8 years who had an acquired brain injury. In her spare time, Kathy enjoys traveling in her RV, volunteering, and spending quality time with her family and friends.
Katreena Schmidt
Direct Support Professional II
Katie comes from a large family and has a brother, sister, and lots of step-siblings. After high school she went to college for baking and pastry and still loves to bake. Prior to coming to Able-Services, Katie worked with individuals with special needs in residential settings. When she isn't working, Katie enjoys the outdoors and spending time with friends. She is excited to get to know everyone, make memories, and have fun!
Laura Wire
Direct Support Professional II
Laura recently moved back to Pennsylvania from Wisconsin. She lives in York with her husband and they have 3 adult children, 4 grandchildren and 2 dogs. Laura attended St. Louis Christian College with a focus in Elementary Education. Before working at Able-Services, Laura worked for the LIU for 9 years. She was also the inventory/receiving manager for a garden center in Wisconsin for 12 years. When she isn't working, Laura enjoys camping. She is looking forward to being back in Pennsylvania and closer to her family and working in an environment where she can make a difference in someone's life.
Leona W.
Direct Support Professional
Leona comes to Able-Services with many years of experience in this field as a Direct Support Professional. She is a cat lover that really enjoys reading, hiking, and watching sports when she isn't working. Leona is excited to join the Able team and assist our participants with participating in community activities.
Marjorie Trona
Direct Support Professional
Marjorie obtained her Associate’s Degree in Specialized Business from Central Penn Business School. Prior and concurrent to her employment with Able-Services, Marjorie worked as a cafeteria and recess aide for the Central York School District for over a decade. She also worked as a substitute Instructional Aide and has some experience working with children with special needs.

Rebecca Keller
Direct Support Professional II
Rebecca graduated from York Vo-Tech and before working at Able-Services, she worked for Durham School Services. She was responsible for the transportation of students with a variety of disabilities. Rebecca lives with her husband, son, and dog Neo in Manchester. She is also involved with volunteering for the annual Autism Walk to raise awareness. Rebecca loves horses and horseback riding. Rebecca decided to work for Able-Services/Leg Up Farm because of the love and support the company has shown her family and friends who have needed services over the years. She loves being part of a team that is supportive and caring.
Shantelle Mitzel
Direct Support Professional
Shantelle is a York native who graduated from York Suburban and lives with her fiance, 3 kids, 2 cats, and 2 dogs. Shantelle has experience working residential programs for adults with special needs and is excited be able to continue to help individuals learn life skills. When she isn't working, Shantelle enjoys being active with her family taking walks, swimming, skating, bowling, etc.
Shelly All
Direct Support Professional
Shelly is a dedicated DSP with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. She has been with Able-Services for over 7 years and is passionate about the work she does with our individuals to ensure their needs are met with compassion and diligence. She has the support of her husband of 26 years and together they are proud parents to 4 children and have 8 grandchildren. Family is the heart of Shelly's life and she is also an avid supporter of local veterans, dedicating her time and efforts to honor their sacrifices and improve their quality of life. In her leisure time, Shelly enjoys riding motorcycles. As she moves forward with Able-Services, she remains committed to her mission of being a voice for others and enriching the lives of those around her.

Michael Hoke
Greenhouse Manager
Michael was born in York and went to York Suburban High School. He obtained his Bachelors of Science degree in Ornamental Horticulture from Delaware Valley College. Prior to working at Able-Services, Michael worked as a floral buyer for Stauffers of Kissel Hill and he also has his Realtor's license. Michael has 5 siblings and 4 step-siblings and in his free time he likes to work in the garden, bike, hike, travel to his cabin, read, and spend time with family and friends. He is passionate about the time he spends working with our participants in the greenhouse and is always looking for new experiences to share with them.
