Direct Support Professional I
Lauren grew up in Greenville and is the youngest of four. She has two sisters and a brother who has Angelmans Syndrome. Growing up with a brother with special needs led her to a career in this field. She graduated from Slippery Rock University with a B.S. in Recreational Therapy and minors in Adaptive Physical Activity and Adventure Fitness.
Prior to her employment at Able-Services, Lauren worked as an intern with Easterseals and worked at LCBC Church in a development program for young leaders. In addition to working at Able-Services, Lauren also works in a residential program at Jessica & Friends. In her spare time, Lauren enjoys swimming, riding her bike, spending time with friends, and volunteering in the tech booth at her church. Lauren's favorite part about working at Able-Services is the relationships she has built with the individuals and how she has been able to learn who they are and work to make them feel valued.
